Refund Policy
Effective: October 5, 2026
These are the rules for withdrawing purchases and getting refunds for Starlight top-ups and package purchases on PastLife and TarotMasters. Starlight is not a subscription and is never charged automatically.
1. Withdrawal (Within 7 Days, If Unused)
If no more than 7 days have passed since the top-up and you have not used any of the Starlight added by that payment, you can get a full refund (Article 17 of Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).
2. If Partly Used or After 7 Days
Remaining paid Starlight can be refunded in proportion to the share that remains, based on the payment amount. Actual costs incurred, such as payment processing fees, may be deducted. Starlight that has already been used, and Starlight received for free through referral rewards, events and the like, is not refundable. Bonus Starlight from the TarotMasters launch offer (double Starlight on your first top-up, until October 19, 2026, 23:59 Korea time) is also not refundable, and if that top-up is refunded or the payment is reversed, its bonus Starlight is taken back in the same proportion.
3. Products Used at the Moment of Payment
For products where portraits or videos are created immediately upon payment, such as time-sale packages, we tell you this before payment, and withdrawal is limited for the parts that have already been created. Parts that have not been created are refunded under Section 2.
4. If You Did Not Receive a Result Because of an Error
If you do not receive a result because of a generation failure or a system error, the Starlight you spent is returned automatically. If it was not returned, please contact us. After checking, we will return the Starlight or issue a refund.
5. Payments by Minors
A payment made by a minor without the consent of a legal guardian may be canceled by the minor or the legal guardian.
6. How to Request a Refund
Send the email address used for payment, the payment date and amount, and the payment number on your receipt to support@pastlife.app. We handle requests within 3 business days of verification and refund to the original payment method. Depending on the card issuer or payment provider, it may take longer for the refund to appear. Once a refund is made, the Starlight added by that payment is taken back.
7. Users Outside Korea
If the consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide more favorable refund rights, those rights apply. For users in the EEA and UK, the 14-day right of withdrawal may be limited once you consent to immediate delivery of digital content and delivery begins, but unused Starlight can still be refunded under Sections 1 and 2.
